Episode 160: How to Beat A Person Who Protects Men, Kote and Dō at the Same Time

In this episode, I am sharing my thoughts on how to beat a person who hides men, kote, and dō at the same time. At one of the posts, Hiro’s Pick: Takenouchi senshu vs Sato senshu, one of the patrons shares his thoughts on this.

I really appreciate him for posting his experiences because it is one of the issues that is talked about at shinpan seminars.

Hope this helps with your kendo study.

Episode 159: Message for Those Who Failed Their Exam

In this episode, I am sharing my message for those who failed their exam. I failed exams. I lost in shiai. I am still doing kendo. Failing doesn’t make you a failure. Failing gives you something to work on. Failing is a realization.

There is mysterious victory, but no mysterious loss.

There are always reasons why we lose. That means we can always improve ourselves. Losing in shiai and failing an exam give us an opportunity to improve. Take it. And improve yourself!

Hope this helps.

Episode 158: The Meaning of Noru

In this episode, I am sharing the concept of “noru” in kendo.

Hope this helps!
